Supportive Mental Health Services for Homeless & Mentally ill South Asians

HASP is a program where we partner with SHIP (Supportive Housing in Peel along with six other community agencies to deliver housing support services to clients residing in SHIP units. We provide case management services to members of the South Asian community with serious mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, mood disorder, paranoid psychosis and other psychosis) and who are homeless or at the risk of becoming homeless. Housing is allotted by SHIP and we provide on-going support services for occupants of these units. • Assist clients to set a daily routine for their lives
  • To provide supportive counselling and education
  • To advocate on their behalf with community agencies and professionals
  • To assist in developing life skills, improve quality of life, independence and housing stability
